Best of Theme is chosen by the photographer and Picture Picks Member that chose the theme. In the case of fog it was Scott Michael Anna and he had this to say about his choice:

Out of all the photos this week the one by Kimberly Farrell Rossiter speaks volumes too me. I was raised in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, and this was where I fell in love with fog on the mountains. The photo captures the definition of the theme I had chosen.

Winners of OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS

We had 33 entries for this event. This is the most entries for an event since Picture Picks returned from vacation. There were 147 votes cast for various representations of our feathered friends.

First Place and Best of Theme
The Wise One by Scott Michael Anna
Anthony Greco, who picked the theme Our Feathered Friends picked Best of Theme. He had this to say about his choice: I chose The Wise Owl  because (a) it is very well done from a technical standpoint, (b) it provides a rare close-up view of a normally shy creature, and (c) it excellently showcases the "feathers" that inspired this theme!

Second Place
Peek-a-Boo by Monica Griffey
Third Place Tie

Last one Standing by Eagle Finegan

Pelican Reflection by Nancie M

 Honorable Mentions

Queen of Preen by Ruthie Benjamin

WINNERS OF CAPTURE AND CAPTION

This event was less popular that recent events and had only 18 photographs submitted. Combined misunderstandings about captions and what is no greater than seven, and Facebook glitches with an actual outage for a couple hours this event definitely suffered.

FIRST PLACE

Don't Look Now by Donna Palmlund

SECOND PLACE

Let her eat cake by Monica Griffey
Sleep, oh gentle sleep by Catherine SweetPotato
THIRD PLACE

Look Ma! No Hands! by Nancie M

BEST OF THEME
Best of Theme picked by Fran Barrikis Puli

My heart aches for you by Scott Michael Anna

It wasn't easy to decide. I had fun checking out all the entries!
Scott's entry met the challenge. It is crystal clear, has good composition, great colors, and it's a delightful Capture. His Caption was within the word limit (7 or less) and perfectly paired with the photo to bring laughter to the viewer. Just what I was hoping for when I chose Capture And Caption. His frame and bubble were a nice touch too.

WINNERS OF ITTY BITTY

Voting was heavy for this event in spite of a Facebook error message that plagued the event in the early part of the voting. I want to congratulate all the participants in this event as it was a difficult one and standards were set rather high very early on in the posting. Only eight votes separated all of our posted winners for this event.

FIRST PLACE
Itty Bitty Eggs by Fran Barekis Pulli
This is Fran's first first place win.

SECOND PLACE
Raindrop Photo-Op by Anthony Greco

THIRD PLACE TIE
The Aphid by Monica Griffey

Frog by Nema Geary

HONORABLE MENTION
Itty Bitty and Buddies by J. Binford-Bell

BEST OF THEME
Reflections of a Teardrop from Heaven by Ruthie Benjamin

This award was chosen by past winner Becky Griffin Stauffer who chose this week's theme.

'For best of theme I've chosen Ruthie Benjamin's Reflections of a Teardrop from Heaven. This was a difficult choice from the many surprising and exquisite entries this week. I tried to find just one that offered a little something extra reflecting the theme. I chose this photo because not only was it a perfect photo of a tiny water drop, but within the drop was a reflection showing a whole other tiny little world. Absolutely delightful!'

WINNERS OF GARDEN VIEWS

We had 29 wonderful garden views for this event. Obviously a popular subject for our photographers

FIRST PLACE
Double Rainbow by Scott Michael Anna

SECOND PLACE TIE
The Tree Dahlia by Jacqui Brown
Garden of Memories by Catherine SweetPotato
THIRD PLACE
Mad about Daises by Nancie M

BEST OF THEME
Musical Garden by Christa Rompala
Catherine SweetPotato's thoughts on this selection: "The Musical Garden was one that I was drawn to for it's unique water garden. This photo captures an aquatic garden with all it's beauty as well as the motion of water trickling from the wonderful garden fountain. I could almost here the music of the water in this photo!"
