Best of Theme

Lea Miche chose Best of Theme and shared this about her selection:
"This photograph nicely expresses 'music', and is simultaneously a surprisingly unexpected interpretation of the theme: the idea of portraying the action/hammers/strings, as well as the angle chosen, the focus, the colour, the lighting, make for a superb photograph. And also reminds me of sitting at a particular grand piano many years ago - I can almost hear it whilst viewing. I think that this photograph would look great as a framed print - it's a really beautiful image, imaginative and clever in its composition as well as its choice of subject."

  1. Ohhhh...Lea - your kind comments make me feel like a REAL photographer. Thank you so much. This piano is very important to me. My father bought it for my mother in the late 60's when he was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. I had the pleasure of practicing on this piano from childhood through my years in music college. I received her pride and joy, tearfully, during the week following her death in 1998. I know this fine instrument inside and out. Thank you, again.

  3. And, again, just to say that all the entries were so imaginative in their interpretations of the theme - I really enjoyed choosing it and everything about this week's contest - thanks to everyone who participated and for sharing all these great photos and all your related thoughts on music too ♥
